Airspace design – this is in fact the heart of the FABEC initiative. Triggered by the basic idea of managing the airspace in the core of Europe regardless of national borders, FABEC has launched several initiatives to shorten the length of air routes, to increase capacity – and, of course, to reduce the consumption of fuel, minimise emissions and reduce costs for airspace users.
